Important Instructions for HW Assignments:
If you submit a handwritten assignment, please make sure its clearly readable.
You must try and attempt as many questions as you can - remember, not attempting questions will automatically lead to lower grades in the assignment. If you do not have the 6th edition of the book, at least get the HW questions from someone else who has the book.
If you e-mail your HW assignments to me, MAKE SURE they are in print ready format, i.e., all I should have to do is to open the file and click the print button. Remember, I am not going to format any files so that the printout comes OK - if your file is not properly formatted for printing, you will lose out if the TA does not understand what you did.
Needless to say, you must submit every assignment, and submit them on time - late submissions are not accepted, so you will lose out on valuable points.
While answering questions in the assignment, you must show your work, you must convince the reader that you understand the problem and that you did it yourself. Just providing the answers will earn you zero points.
If you do not understand anything, and have questions to ask, feel free to contact me or the TA. However, think through your question before asking, be precise about what you want to ask - do not come to me or the TA with a draft HW solution and ask us to go through it and "see if its OK". Remember, this amounts to grading the HW and providing you feedback on it, which would only be done after you submit the HW, not before.
Most importantly - staple your assignments! If you do not staple your sheets, some of them may get lost, and again, you will lose out on valuable points.
